What a surprise for a beach cafe. It stands out (It was a hot summer's day, so perfect) from the outside, with a great look. The inside and menu enhance the experience more. Simple but well designed with a good atmosphere, fantastic setting and good menu selection.
I ordered avocado and feta with poached eggs. The hummus was delicious, the quickly pickled onion was crunchy and just perfectly complimented the rest, the balsamic was thick and just the right flavour, the avocado perfectly ripe and the pistachio crumb and dill finished it off perfectly.

Tradewinds is so much more than just a café. The location is unbeatable — right on the Promenade between Shanklin and Sandown with stunning sea views. The food is next-level — the Eggs Royale and Tiramisu are the best I’ve had anywhere (and I’ve tried them around the world!).
It’s super family & dog friendly too — the kids love the pizzas, and the flavours are unreal. Grab a blue matcha, sit back, and watch the world go by. Amazing food, amazing people, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. They honestly tick every box!
